Maple Ceremony

Wahta children had the opportunity to attend a Maple Ceremony held for them at the Longhouse. The Ceremony included and opening and closing prayer, songs and dance. The children got to taste Maple water and give thanks to the Creator and to the Maple tree (Wáh ta).
The children wore ribbon shirts and ribbon dresses throughout the Ceremony.
