This is the church were my Great-Grandfather preached in for many years. My Great -Grandma use to translate for him from English to Mohawk so they could understand what he was saying. She also played the organ for the service and my mother would pump it for her. Sadly he passed away in 1953 and grandma passed away in 1946 from a stroke she had. Loreen Comandent use to keep house for grandpa after grandma passed away.
Is there a written history of the church as a people (not just of the building), going back to its Methodist roots in Eastern Canada? If so, please let me know — thanks! LanceWonders@ACTScollege.org (I am dean of a Bible College in Minnesota – US and am descended from the Decaire family of the Wahta Mohawk tribe)
