Wahta Mohawks Chief and Council in their continued commitment to community development are pleased to announce the successful application for funding partnership with the province and the federal government for Water Treatment Infrastructure Upgrades and Construction under the Small Communities Fund.

This fund is meant to help address local priorities and Wahta Mohawks has been fortunate enough to be chosen to address our lack of access to a communal water treatment system.

Wahta Mohawks, the federal and provincial governments will each provide 33% toward the total net eligible costs of the project up to a maximum of $3,500,000. The planning and design phase will get underway this year with project completion is expected by 2020.

Cleaner water for Wahta is finally becoming a reality!
