Hi, my name is Kim North and I have been employed with Wahta Mohawks for several years as the Accounts Receivable /Payable Clerk.
I came to the Wahta Mohawks Administration with more than 20 years prior experience in accounting, and was an Initial Assessments Clerk with Revenue Canada prior to that. I am here fully prepared to answer and /or solve any of your accounting questions or concerns.
Joanne is originally from North Bay, Ontario. As a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager she brings 30 years of financial and business experience, and has been working with Indigenous organizations since 1996.
Currently she is dividing her time as the Chief Financial Officer and occasionally is a part-time faculty member teaching accounting, computer applications, or business courses at Georgian College-Muskoka campus in Bracebridge. As well, she teaches yoga and facilitates workshops in her home based yoga studio. To balance life, she relies on her yoga practice to ground her and oil painting to maintain her creative flow.
